The AA Projects London office has now moved to 6 Lloyds Avenue, EC3N 3AX. The new office is housed in a grade II listed building conveniently located near Tower Hill and Aldgate tube stations and round the corner from Fenchurch Street station.

The Lowry Commences LED Replacement Scheme

A programme of works has commenced at The Lowry to replace over 3,700 light fittings with LED replacements at part of The Lowry’s 2020 Vision capital investment programme. The works when complete are expected to save the Salford based arts and theatre venue over £150,000 annually on its electricity costs and will also reduce the carbon output by around 700 tonnes. This scheme is the first phase of a programme of works funded by the Arts Council of England to support The Lowry in improving sustainability and increasing revenues.

£30 Million New Engineering Centre for UCLan

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has appointed architects and engineers for its pioneering new engineering facility. Construction of the £30 million plus Engineering Innovation Centre will begin in 2016 as one of the initial stages of the University’s £200 million campus redevelopment plans. AA Projects is project managing the development along with providing cost management and health and safety services.

Annual Staff Conference at Cranage Hall

The eagerly awaited annual AA Projects Staff Conference took place at Cranage Hall in Cheshire on Friday. Staff from all seven offices joined forces for team working and activities which included human table football, penalty shoot out, fairground fun and a laser clay pigeon shoot. The conference provides a great opportunity to share ideas, meet some new faces and enjoy the entertainment and social activities.

Grand Opening of New Creative Arts Building at KGV

King George V College welcomed visitors to join them to celebrate the grand opening of the new Creative Arts Building on Saturday 6 June. AA Projects undertook the projects management of the £4million development along with providing quantity surveying and CDM-C services. The building will provide some of the best facilities in the area, including a lecture theatre for up to 120 people, which can also be used as a performance space. The facilities will house the Creative arts subjects: Art and Design, Drama, Film and Media Studies, Music and Music Technology and will also accommodate other A-Level students.
