New Appointments in Building Surveying

AA Projects has appointed five new building surveyors, strengthening the current team across the company’s national base of offices. Sam Palmes joins the London team as a Senior Building Surveyor with a background of grade II listed residential refurbishments in London and commercial office refurbishment in the City. The other appointments are graduate roles, seen as strategically important for the development of the company. Over the last 12 months within AA Projects, 22 employees have passed through the APC graduate training programme with a pass rate of 100% attained.

Planning Approved for Harrow College

Harrow College has been successful in its planning application for the new Health & Social Care building. AA Projects managed a multi-discipline team through design development and planning with services including project management, BREEAM environmental consultancy, quantity surveying, and principal designer The project is now out to tender and completion of works planned for mid-August 2017.

£10m Expansion at University of Leeds

Our project management team has been successful tendering for a £10 million BREEAM excellent expansion to the University's Grade II listed Biological Sciences buildings. Works include a new build two-storey extension to the Irene Manton Building and a phased refurbishment of Manton/Garstang Buildings. The project will take place on a live campus, keeping the buildings in occupation at all times.

Work Commences on Llys Gary Speed

Work has commenced on ‘Llys Gary Speed’, a Pennaf Housing Group housing scheme in Aston, Flintshire in memory of the former Wales football captain and manager. AA Projects was pleased to attend the ground breaking ceremony on Friday and are working with Pennaf on the development of 21 houses that will be completed in spring 2017.

New £9m Extra Care Scheme for Flintshire

Work has commenced on a £9 million extra care scheme in Flint. AA Projects is working with the Pennaf Housing Group on the delivery of more than 70 apartments for the over 60s, part of the County Council’s multi-million pound regeneration of the town. Our teams are providing quantity surveying, employer’s agent and party wall services on the four-storey, state-of-the-art development.

Health Funding Applications for CCGs

Our health team has developed funding applications for a number of healthcare projects for Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Manchester and Cheshire. These have included Warrington CCG and Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale CCG. The fund is the NHS Estates and Technology Transformation Fund (ETTF) which has been set up to help practices establish infrastructure to enable extra capacity for appointments at times to meet locally determined demand.
