Project details:
An Austrian Consortium of investors took advantage of the liberalisation of the energy market in Portugal by constructing two hydropower plants. The scheme involved the construction of dams, buried pipelines (6km), powerhouses, turbines/generators and other equipment, a 31km connection link to the line network and subsequent commissioning of the powerplants to operational status. A multi-national design team and contractors were appointed for the development.

AA Projects is fulfilling the role of CDM Co-ordinator (CDM-C) for the new £3million gypsum storage facility, overhead conveyors and support towers at Cottam Power Station. This highly safety conscious project is in the final stages of tower and conveyor erection.
