Project: Salford Central Station Upgrade
Value: £4.5 million
Project details:
Salford Central rail station was transformed from a run down Victorian station into a state-of-the-art facility featuring enhanced facilities, improved security, passenger information systems and access. The scheme included a new public address system, customer information screens and CCTV together with upgraded taxi and bus facilities and provision for shopping kiosks. Disabled passenger ramps and glass lifts were installed as part of the access improvements.

Project details:
Major refurbishment of platforms and main concourse areas to provide new ticket office, retail units, café facilities, train crew accommodation and office accommodation for Arriva Trains Wales. The project was completed in two phases, on time and within budget.

Project details:
Greenwich Transport Interchange, designed by Lord Foster, for London Underground and LT Buses voted by the 'Independent' as in the top 50 buildings of the 1990's and winner of the 'Civic Trust Award 2000'. An Interchange Station built on top of the Jubilee Line extension Underground station which caters for a variety of modes of transport including Tubes, buses, cars, cycles and pedestrians, including co-ordination of works with the New Millennium Experience Company relating to the construction of the Millennium Dome Experience.

The Finsbury Park Transport Interchange upgrades and integrates the multi-modal interchange facilities at Finsbury Park. The main Interchange elements are cycle lanes, a new state of the art computerised Cycle Park, two expanded and upgraded bus stations, new taxi and drop-off ranks, National Rail and LUL ticket office improvements, improved passenger security and waiting facilities via an Interchange Gallery structure. The Interchange utilises the road space freed up by a completed TfL Street Management Traffic Scheme, and re-allocates this space to public transport use.

Euston Transport Interchange requires the co-ordination of Transport for London modal transport requirements with Network Rail's planned station development, funded by 2.5m sq ft of mixed use and commercial development. Transport modelling and demand forecast of tube, bus, taxi, Cross River Tram, cycling, pedestrian flows, to enable the design of a world class interchange facility.

Mandated to manage the development of a Surface transport scheme and manage at a programme level the interfaces between other initiatives within the area including LUL step free and capacity enhancement, National Rail new platforms for the East London Line Extension Project, London Overground platform enhancements, removal of a gyratory, buses, cycling and pedestrians to align with and complement the delivery of the vision for the area. Design of a new post office.

Mandated to develop a joined-up approach towards a single plan for various transport improvement proposals in the area. The programme consists of a funded LUL step-free access project and an interchange feasibility study which will investigate options for improving the interchange between transport modes and the quality of surface urban realm within the station vicinity.

Assist Transport for London (TfL) in providing an exciting new heart for Tottenham Hale, focused around a new public transport interchange. The study stakeholders also include the London Borough of Haringey and Design for London. The masterplan for this site aims to create a new urban square to support local regeneration a mixed used development, removal of the A10 gyratory and a new state of the art interchange. Leading an interactive process aimed at providing the best balance between place - making, movement and development objectives and also developing solutions to deal with increased demand associated with growth and development at the station, underpinned by robust demand forecasting of passenger growth.

Project: Shudehill Interchange Fitting Out

Project details:
The scheme comprised the high quality fit-out of the bus/light rail Interchange at Shudehill, Manchester, including supply and installation of fixed and loose equipment, furniture fittings and fixtures, installation of paypoint and point of sale terminals, turnstile equipment to public toilets, security shutters, wall and floor treatments, floor screeds in tenanted areas, directional passenger signing and road markings, information cases and leaflet display. Also included were communications and computer equipment, electronic displays, cycle racks, security gates and fencing, extensive cleaning and the application of anti-graffiti coatings.

Project: Stockport Grade 1 Waiting Facilities

Project details:
The provision of two Grade 1 Bus Passenger Waiting Facilities at prominent sites on the A6 road in Stockport. The facilities are the largest Grade 1 structures of their type in Greater Manchester and form part of the Stockport to Manchester Quality Bus Corridor. The waiting facilities provide CCTV, and state of the art passenger information and help points.

Project details:
New build 6 storey multi-storey car park providing 947 parking spaces (including 50 disabled spaces) over 6 levels with an integrated permit/security office, procured on a Design and Build basis. The project was constructed on a restricted site over an existing brick culvert with occupied University buildings on two sides.

Project: A4 Southern Bypass, Poland

Project details:
The project comprised the new construction of a 2km section of dual, three lane motorway and a three tier interchange linking the existing national road No 4. The route passes through a densely populated suburb of Krakow traversing the Malinowka river valley. Utilities and Geographical improvement works formed a considerable percentage of the overall value. The project was co-financed by EU PHARE funds and Polish State Budget.
