Renewable Heat Incentive
AA Projects is able to provide advice on funding low carbon technologies that best meet the demands of your organisation. We are not tied to any individual micro-generation installer and are therefore able to provide independent advice on the adoption of the correct mix of low carbon technologies.
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a new Government environmental programme designed to increase the uptake of renewable heat technologies and will contribute towards the Government’s target of 15 per cent of total UK energy consumption being generated from renewable sources by 2020.
Incentive payments will be made to generate renewable heat or biomethane.
The following technologies are eligible for support under the RHI.
- Solid biomass (All Scales)
- Ground and water source heat pumps (All Scales)
- Geothermal (All Scales)
- Solar thermal (Under 200 kWth)
- Biogas combustion (Under 200 kWth)
- Biomethane injection (All Scales) -injecting into the grid are subject to different eligibility criteria and ongoing obligations.
What Services do AA Projects provide?
Our Chartered Environmentalists undertake an initial feasibility study to establish suitable energy projects and once this is completed we prepare a financial appraisal, including calculating the payback periods for the chosen projects and identify funding options. Depending on the chosen technologies and funding options, AA Projects will provide technical advice through the procurement, installation and long term maintenance.
AA Projects has many years of experience of providing independent impartial advice to clients on investment decisions, project monitoring, project management, and cost consultancy across Europe associated with Energy based projects.
