Our focused sector expertise ensures that we deliver projects that are:

  • On time
  • On budget
  • To the highest quality
  • To the optimum sustainable standards within budget
  • To meet all criteria of residents and client satisfaction

By focusing on these key drivers, we are able to support our clients to add value to projects.

Our teams are familiar with BREEAM standards and with the Code for Sustainable Homes, and have worked with both these standards since their respective inceptions. Due to our breadth of experience undertaking environmental assessments such as BREEAM, and modelling the energy performance of buildings through our energy compliance support, we are in a unique position to identify clear strategies at planning stage that can be implemented across the life of a project.

Fuel Poverty

Fuel poverty is an increasing issue to many tenants. Our energy and sustainability team actively provides our delivery teams with grant aid opportunity to support key clients and their development portfolios.

We assist finance and development directors in finding private funding solutions for longer-term development plans. This includes facilitation of meetings with funders, development portfolio planning and development project assimilation. We provide cost planning and benchmarking to enable the running of various finance models that have assisted the board in making robust long-term investment decisions.

Site Acquisition

We assist clients in appraising new site opportunities. We will recommend a desktop study or site investigation on a potential site alongside a preliminary services search/report on a worthy investment. AA Projects will then quantify and value the abnormals and set out a risk strategy to mitigation and manage them to ensure clients are buying the sites with the fewest abnormal costs. This information can then often be utilised to reduce land purchase values and we will support the client in the negotiation to ensure best value.

In conjunction with the abnormals review, we will undertake cost optioneering exercises on massing exercise undertaken by an architect to inform site viability and maximise return for clients. These services ensure clients can make real, informed decisions about which sites to bid for. This is the ultimate early warning as too many clients have had their fingers burnt by poorly purchased sites.

As client advisors, we will liaise with the planners. This includes initial consultation to understand densities and massing for the site and working with the development partner post appointment to ensure successful application and satisfy planning conditions in the most efficient and cost effective way.

We understand that working on community based residential projects provides an opportunity to engage with communities, individuals and groups that may have previously been limited from participating fully in the economic, social, and political life of the society in which they live.
