Delivering affordable housing in Hale, Altrincham

AA Projects will be acting as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Employers Agent and Principal Designer for the £6 millon regeneration of the council-owned Brown Street car park in Hale, Altrincham appointed by Novo Property Group. This new build will feature 10 townhouses fronting Brown Street and an apartment block of 12 homes, as well as a multi-storey car park to the rear. The 12 homes are designated as affordable and will be available under shared ownership. Supporting the council’s original remit, set out in December, which aimed for a 40% provision of affordable homes on the site.

The townhouses feature gardens to the rear while the car park will have cycle parking and electric charging points. A planning application is currently being drawn up and will be submitted in the next two months.

EIC report sets out recommendations for improving non-domestic energy efficiency after Brexit

Industry group Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) warns of weaknesses in the regulatory framework designed to improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings and argues that Brexit should act as a spur to rethink the right combination of policies to reform enforcement systems in its new report, Improving non-domestic energy efficiency after Brexit.

AA Projects Director of Energy and Sustainability, Richard Murray is a member of the EIC Carbon Management and Sustainable Buildings Working Group and contributed his expertise to the report, which is just one of a series the EIC is publishing setting out its members’ views on the impact of Brexit on environmental policy and how policy should evolve after the UK leaves the EU, covers the breadth of energy efficiency policy for non-domestic buildings.

AA Projects have been appointed by Lancashire Sustainabilty and Transformation Partnership (STP)

NHS plans in 2018/19 asked all sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) to undertake a strategic, system-wide review of estates. Developing a plan that supports a reduction in backlog maintenance, ensures availability of modern equipment and the disposal of unused or underutilised estates whilst investing in integrated care models and maximising the sharing of assets.

AA Projects have been appointed by Lancashire STP (Integrated Care System) to support in the prioritisation of the Wave 4 capital bids for NHS Improvement funding.
