ESOS: Keeping compliance costs low

AA Projects Appointed on £22m Engineering Innovation Centre for UCLan

Work is expected to commence in March on the designs for a new £22 million Engineering Innovation Centre for the University of Central Lancashire. The new centre is set to open in January 2018 and will bring together the region's expertise from within academia and industry. AA Projects has been appointed through the North West Construction Hub Engineering and Professional Services Framework to provide project management, quantity surveying and CDM-coordinator services.

Appointment to the Welsh Public Sector Framework

AA Projects has been appointed to the Wales Public Sector Framework for the provision of project management and quantity surveying services. The framework is available to all of the Welsh Public Sector and to date 73 companies have signed up to use the framework.

Leeds Office Moves to City Centre

As of this week, the Leeds office of AA Projects is moving from Morley to Leeds city centre. The new office will be located at No 1 Aire Street, a 1930s building in the heart of Leeds adjacent to the railway station. The new location will allow us to respond to a growing workload and client base in the city centre, building on the back of success with clients such as Land Securities, Leeds Teaching Hospitals and the Leeds University Framework.

CIF Applications are Finalised as Last Year’s Capital Funded Projects Reach Completion

Today saw the completion of all applications for the Condition Improvement Fund and submission to the Education Funding Agency, with the results expected to be announced at the end of March.

Many of the academy projects that secured funds from last year’s Academies Maintenance Fund have now reached completion. We have been working with academies across the country and recently new-build classroom were finalised at Campion School & Language College, a first floor extension completed at Whitley Academy and a flat roof and window replacement scheme concluded at Oasis Academy Woodview. We look forward to working with more academies this year when funding results are announced in March.

2014: A Successful Year for AA Projects

For AA Projects, 2014 was an interesting and eventful year that saw a marked development in a number of key sectors and an expanding and diversifying client base across the board. We have strengthened our commercial and retail portfolio with a range of large scale commercial projects across the country and for our residential team it was a year of growth as we continued to develop key relationships in both the public and private sectors for the provision of specialist residential care and extra care. We diversified our health offer across the country and within education we continued to develop strong relationships within the FE and HE sector and to expand our client base of schools and academies. We are very much looking forward to building on these opportunities in 2015.
