Jodrell Bank among Heritage Lottery Fund Winners

Exciting news for Jodrell Bank in Cheshire as it is announced as one of nine heritage sites to qualify for lottery funding worth £98 million. The Heritage Lottery Fund said it hopes some of the projects will inspire young people to take a greater interest in science and technology and Jodrell Bank, home to the Lovell Telescope, has received one of the biggest awards worth £12.1 million.

Our teams are currently working on two projects at the Observatory. Works are being undertaken to extend and refurbish the Observatory Control Building and a further project is underway on the Lovell Telescope which includes the bowl surface replacement, wheel girder repairs and foundation upgrades. The lottery funding will allow exciting new developments to be undertaken at the Observatory.

Appointments at Wandsworth Borough Council

AA Projects has recently been appointed by Wandsworth Borough Council to undertake condition surveys of 111 properties within the London borough of Wandsworth. We are also supporting the Council as FM Technical Advisor as it is progressing via OJEU Competitive Dialogue to appoint contractors for the provision of hard and soft FM services for the next five years.

Stoke-on-Trent College Achieves BREEAM ‘Very Good’

Stoke on Trent College has achieved a BREEAM ‘very good’ for its newly refurbished pre-school Taylor Building. AA Projects has provided project management, quantity surveying, CDM-C services and the energy sustainability department has acted as BREEAM assessors for the scheme.
