Manchester Health Academy Extension Completed

A £650,000 extension and refurbishment scheme has been completed at Manchester Health Academy. The works included a new dining room extension, servery and internal modification, along with new science labs and general teaching provisions. New loose furniture and flooring has been provided throughout. The 18 week programme was completed on time and within budget.

Academy Funding Announced Today

The EFA has confirmed today there will be a further round of the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) to finance building improvements to academies. To date, AA Projects has secured over £175 million of capital funding for academies, working with over 250 institutions nationwide. The deadline for applications is Friday 9th December 2016.

Work Begins on Cumbria’s National College for Nuclear

Work has started on a £4.75 million northern hub for the National College for Nuclear, a world-class training facility for the UK’s nuclear industry, with a ground breaking ceremony held earlier today. Located at Workington, the northern campus is one of two purpose-built sites being developed with the aim to train 7,000 people by 2020. Our teams are project managing the scheme and providing a range of services including strategic property and funding advice, cost consultancy and health and safety expertise.

Due Diligence on Four College Merger

Our strategic education team has been appointed to provide strategic advice and undertake property due diligence for the proposed merger of four Colleges in Cheshire. West Cheshire and South Cheshire are to partner up in January 17, followed by Mid Cheshire joining in August 17 and Warrington Collegiate in Jan 18. This multiple merger is as a result of the Cheshire and Warrington post 16 area review which concluded recently.
