HR Administrator

We are looking for a HR Administrator to provide generalist administration support to the HR team and the wider business on the full employee life-cycle. You will contribute and assist in delivering an effective HR service which complies with employment law, Company policies and procedures, whilst maintaining and improving employee relations

Main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • New Employee Offers
  • Create and issue new employee documentation including contracts, offer letters and job descriptions
  • Update and maintain offers tracker
  • Onboarding
  • Add new employees to HR systems
  • Conduct BPSS where applicable
  • Request references from previous employers & monitor responses
  • Co-ordinate the induction process for new employees
  • Ensure new employees are added to payroll
  • Create and maintain electronic and hard copy personnel files
  • Annual Leave & Absences
  • Run monthly absence reports for payroll
  • Complete monthly annual leave reconciliations
  • Assist with annual leave/absence queries
  • Assist with end of year annual leave processes (holiday purchase / sell-back & carry forward)
  • Produce holiday purchase salary sacrifice letters and monitor returns
  • Produce family leave requests
  • Benefits Administration
  • Administer employee benefits including adding/removing employees as required
  • Produce pension salary sacrifice letters and monitor returns
  • Employee Maintenance
  • Produce letters, contracts, job descriptions and any other paperwork relating to promotions, bonus payments, salary increases, flexible working requests etc
  • Update HR systems with changes to personal details
  • Process personal data in line with GDPR
  • Manage and monitor appraisal process
  • Manage probation review process
  • Manage Company organisation chart
  • Manage DBS / security clearance tracker
  • Support and monitor Health & Safety processes, such as CSCS cards, Display Screen Equipment assessments, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Training & Development
  • Administer and monitor Risk Management & Compliance training
  • Produce and track training agreements
  • Track and arrange first aid and fire marshal training
  • Offboarding
  • Produce and issue resignation acceptance letters
  • Calculate annual leave balances
  • Investigate and calculate any subscription fees outstanding
  • Update HR systems

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years generalist HR Administrator experience within a small-to-medium business
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to suit the audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • First class organisation/prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail skill

The working hours for this role are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 3.45pm Friday, 45 minutes for lunch.
