Warrington Borough Council established a project to design and create a new building for the students of Barrow Hall Primary School. The current buildings were in poor condition, and the environment was unsuitable for the number of pupils.

The former Barrow Hall Primary School occupied buildings which were considered by the local authority to be in poor condition. For the new build it was imperative that consideration be given to good design that limits future maintenance costs. Examples of this include an innovative Formica cladding solution that is resistant to rain and UV discolouration, and reduces the whole life costs compared to the other proposed solutions.

We provided pre and post contract quantity surveying services, from feasibility to final account. Our expert team created cost plans, produced tender and contract documentation, managed costs during the construction period and negotiated and agreed the final account.

The works centered around the design and construction of a new build single storey 3FE primary school that will provide teaching accommodation, kitchen, hall, welfare facilities, staff rooms, storage facilities and office/administration accommodation together with external works.
