Hammerson’s most recent project at Grand Central is their £2 million investment in the upgrade of the internal walkway of Grand Central’s New Street Mall. The initial project phase will be delivered in October, focusing on upgrades to the internal walkway of Grand Central’s New Street Mall.

The aim of the project is to increase customer engagement in the mall, which will see new seating installed with a view to providing a more relaxed atmosphere and increase dwell time. It’s anticipated Phase two will be completed in spring 2020 and will involve an upgrade to the double-height atrium entrance at Grand Central. Drees & Sommer are providing quantity surveying services on both phases 1 and 2.
