Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has been a long-standing client of ours here at Drees & Sommer. We’ve been commissioned on a wide range of projects from the creation of new bus interchanges and upgrades to passenger waiting facilities, to platform and station upgrades including the installation of digital boards. We have also delivered the fit-out for their headquarters.
When working on the bus station and passenger waiting area improvements, we oversaw the installation of the latest electronic information display systems, covered waiting areas, landscaping, speed camera road studs, hardwired illuminated road studs, enhanced access provision and highway improvements.
The improvements were commissioned to make travelling by public transport more attractive in the region and to enhance the passenger experience.
The Drees & Sommer team was also involved in the completion and commissioning of previously procured base build office accommodation suitable for fitting out into new corporate offices for 350+ current staff together with expansion space to cater for company growth in staffing disposition. Works included fit-out of base build works to accommodate staff and tenants, and to relocate both from existing accommodation in Magnum House, Manchester.
